SALES SCRIPT
The sales script shown below is presented as a bases for the initial contact you will have with your potential customer. You may add your own personal touches and edit the script as you become more familiar with making calls to business owners. To become more successful at selling the web packages, you must become familiar with the STANDARD FEATURES. Also, you should read the OVERCOMING OBJECTIONS page to learn how to respond to objections your potential customer might present.

SALES: Hi, my name is__________, I was looking for information on the internet about your company and I didn’t find you listed on any of the search engines. May I please have your web address?

RESPONSE: If customer currently has a website, ask data mining questions like these:

Q: How is the website working out for you? (Let the customer talk, listen to their concerns and arrange an appointment time for them to evaluate the website you will design for them)

Q: How often do you make changes to your website? Do you make the changes yourself or do you pay a web developer to make the changes for a fee?

(Transition to a discussion about the ease with which changes can be made using the website system you are presenting)

Q: Are you receiving the traffic you expected? If No: Transition to a discussion about the Website Submission Tool and the Website Statistics Tool.

RESPONSE: If the customer does not have a website, transition to the appointment setting script:

SALES: I am calling you today to show you how to present your company’s products and services on the internet quickly and easily. Our company has developed a system which includes a 2,000 product catalog, merchant account, statistics and website submission tool and much more. We need to set an appointment so that you can take a look at our incredible system. There is absolutely no cost or obligation associated with the appointment. Let’s set the appointment tomorrow with me and one of my Product Specialists to show you this system with no cost or obligation. Are you available at 2:00 pm?

OR SALES: I know your company understands the challenges that small-medium sized businesses like yours are faced with then establishing a web presence.
